Get Up Get Out of Here Gone Season 44 Post-Season Awards

McCabe Most Valuable Player:

Runs: 118 Hits: 181 HR: 44 RBI: 121 SB: 5 AVG: .311 OBP: .375 SLG: .612 OPS: .987

At age 23, Iwazaki is one of a core of ubertalented young players in Yount that will continue to battle for this award. Ewell Garcia was hard to ignore with his 58 home runs ang 170 RBI, but Iwazaki performed at a high level, despite missing 22 games with a stiff neck after purchasing the wrong firmness of Mr. Pillow for a side sleeper. Ridiculed in the NY Post for his injury, Iwazaki came back strong. Already in his fourth major league season, if he is able to find the right pillow firmness, he will be on the all-time leader board. In season 39, Iwazaki was signed for an insane $33.0 Million, which seems to be worth every penny.

McCabe Cy Young:

Games: 38 Games Started: 38 W-L: 23-12 Inn: 290.0

BB: 119 SO: 271 WHIP: 1.12 ERA: 2.86

Despite protestations for the agent of Cingrani, this isn't even close. Kline had another amazing year, with 271 strikeouts, almost breaking his own mark of 291 set last season. Amazingly he had 35 of his 38 starts that were decisions. An absolute throwback workhorse, Kline went the distance 14 times. Kline is locked up through season 47, so the Royals have an open window if they can surround Keagle with the right talent.

McCabe Rookie of the Year:

Runs: 86 Hits: 132 HR: 43 RBI: 95 SB: 26 AVG: .338 OBP: .395 SLG: .749 OPS: 1.144

Bell started the year in AAA, playing 26 games before getting the call to Philadelphia. Once he was there, all he did is mash. His numbers in his call up rivaled anyone's in the league as he played just 119 games. Bell was the 15th pick in the season 40 draft out of Granite City, Illinois. His Uncle is the late great NFL sack artist Kevin Greene, and although he did play high school football, his future is very bright for the Phillies.

McCabe Fireman of the Year:

Games: 50 Saves: 35 W-L: 3-1 Inn: 48.1

BB: 13 SO: 28 WHIP: 0.68 ERA: 0.93

Another historic season, as no closer has ever been perfect for a whole year in Yount, but Cortes was. He went 35 for 35 in saves and just didn't really allow any runners on or to score. A very insane season and the third straight for Cortes with 30 plus saves. Cortes has one-year left on his deal and if he continues to put up these big numbers, there is no doubt he will command a higher salary than his current $5.8M per year.
