Season 45 Win Above Replacement (WAR) Ratings

A note on the numbers. For years we borrowed a WAR formula off the WIS forums and plugged our stats in. This season we built our own. Every value here is solved from the Yount League's own history rather than lifted from Major League Baseball: how much a double is worth, how hard each position is to fill, what a defensive play actually saves. Defense finally counts for what it should, and pitchers are rated two ways at once — for what they controlled, and for what actually happened behind them. A short explainer sits above each section. Zero means replacement level: a bench call-up. An everyday regular sits around 2, an All-Star near 5, an MVP season 8 or more.
