Baton Rouge, LA (GUGUGOOHG) - It is challenging to assess a draft class years after the draft. At Get Up Get Up Get Outta Here Gone, we have decided to create a formula for successful classes. It could be better, as it does not consider each player's star power or a specific organization's promotion philosophies. The Index awards points for the number of players still playing, with more points for major leaguers and a bonus for the round in which that player was drafted. The season 48 draft currently ranks as the 2nd best in the five-year history, with an average index of 31.63. In Season 48, the Blue Jays had the best draft, which ranks as the 7th best draft in the last five years. As this practice was started in Season 44, we will be tabulating the top ten drafts all-time based on the index as we advance. This is listed below.
