Baton Rouge, LA (GUGUGOOHG) - Evaluating a draft class right after the draft can be challenging, as initial perceptions often lean toward thinking the draft isn't particularly strong. However, at Get Up Get Up Get Outta Here Gone, we have developed a formula to assess the success of draft classes by examining previous years. This formula awards points based on the number of players still active in the game, with higher points given to those who have reached the major leagues, and additional bonuses based on the round in which each player was drafted.
The draft class from Season 50 was slightly above average, with an average score of 31.10. The Reds had one of the strongest draft classes in history, producing five major leaguers, which ranks as the second-best all-time. Conversely, Florida and Anaheim had disappointing drafts, each with an index score of 2. Since we began this practice in Season 44, we will be compiling the top ten drafts of all time based on these scores as we move forward. Here are the rankings for Season 50:
