Season 57 Wins Above Replacement (WAR) Rankings

For years, we borrowed a WAR formula off the WIS forums and plugged our stats in. We've since built our own. Every value here is solved from the Yount League's own history rather than lifted from Major League Baseball: how much a double is worth, how hard each position is to fill, what a defensive play actually saves. Defense finally counts for what it should, and pitchers are rated two ways at once, both for what they controlled and for what actually happened behind them. Zero means replacement level, a bench call-up. An everyday regular sits around 2, an All-Star near 5, an MVP season 8 or more.
