Although there is debate among members of the Yount League as to the validity of all-star recognition, there is an actual all-star game on the major league level. The Guardians led the way with eight all-stars, with the Yankees checking in with 5 and a plethora of teams with 4. With no mandatory all-star selection from each team, eight teams were shut out of recognition at the major league level, up from five last year.
In the minor leagues, every level has an all-star game except rookie, which recognizes, but has not actual game. The Orioles are becoming a juggernaut with 29 selections. The Braves are in full rebuild with a robust 23. Unlike last year, every team had at least one player selected to participate in the mid-summer minor league classics.
