Although there is debate among members of the Yount League about the validity of all-star recognition, there is an actual all-star game on the major league level. This was a very balanced year, with three team sharing the lead with five (Dodgers, Brewers, Colonels). With no mandatory all-star selection from each team, six teams were shut out of recognition at the major league level, down from an insane eleven last year.
In the minor leagues, every level has an all-star game except rookie, which recognizes, but has no actual game. The Orioles led the way again with 25 selections and the Twins matched that total. Every team had a selection again this year.
