Although there is debate among members of the Yount League about the validity of all-star recognition, there is an actual all-star game on the major league level. As expected, the Brewers led the way with nine, and their counterpart in the NL, the Marlins, had six. With no mandatory all-star selection from each team, seven teams were shut out of recognition at the major league level, up one from six last year.
In the minor leagues, every level has an all-star game except Rookie, which recognizes but has no actual game. The Orioles led the way again with 20 selections, down from 25, and the Twins again finished second with 17. The Rockies were the only team without a selection in the minors.
