Season 55 All-Stars

There is frequent debate among Yount League members regarding the legitimacy of all-star recognition, despite the existence of an official all-star game at the major league level. This year, the Brewers, Marlins, Rays, and Rangers dominated the selections with each team having six players chosen. Notably, nine teams did not have any players selected, which is one more than the previous year, as there are no compulsory selections.

At every level in the minor leagues, except for Rookie, there is an all-star game. Rookie level acknowledges but does not have an actual game. The Minor League All-Stars were led by two NL South teams, the Braves with 21 selections and the Rays with 20. The Braves, Rays, Rangers, Twins, Cubs, Mariners, Colonels, and Dodgers each had a player selected at every level. For the third consecutive year, all teams had at least one all-star player.
