Kewaskum, WI - The Yount world remains largely influenced by prospects from the Washington and Milwaukee farm systems. Washington leads the list again, boasting eleven players among the top 100 prospects, while Milwaukee has a somewhat lower count this year with five. However, Milwaukee does have two of the top three players, not including Hisanori Martin, who is ineligible for the list but could be considered the top overall player in the minors. The Cubs have improved since their past missteps with the 40-man roster, securing eight spots on the list. The Reds, Yankees, Red Sox, Diamondbacks, Rangers, and Athletics each have six prospects represented. Four teams failed to place anyone in the top 100 this year, a slight improvement from five teams last year. These teams are the Astros, Pirates, Rockies, and Marlins, which are currently lacking in minor-league talent.
